Lemachko Tatiana (16.03.1948)

Lemachko-TatianaSwiss Women Grandmaster (1977) born in Russia. Moved first to Bulgaria (1972), and then in 1982, she defected from the Bulgarian team on the eve of the last round of the Lucerne Olympiad in 1982 to reach Switzerland.

She was one of the eight finalists for the Women’s World Championship for 1983. Several times she was the Bulgarian women’s champion.

Best results in Women Interzonals: Rosendal 1976, 3rd-4th; Alicante 1979, 1st-2nd; Bad Kissingen 1982, 3rd.

A participant in the Women’s Olympiad from 1974 to 1982 with the Bulgarian team, from 1984 until 1998 and since 2004 with the Swiss team. In the 2004 Women Olympiad, she was awarded one gold, one silver and two bronze medals for the best individual performances.

Best ELO: 2370 in 1988.
