Ye,-JiangchuanChinese Grandmaster (2000). Best Chinese player in the 1990’s and begining of 2000’s. Chinese Champion in 1981, 1984, 1986, 1987, 1989, 1994 and 1996.

Leader of the national team with success in the Asian Team Championships in 1983, 1985, 1989, 1991 and 1993. playing at either board 1 or board 2. He was also a participant in the World Team Championship in Luzern in 1985 and 1989 and the Olympiad since 1988.

On 31 December 2000, broke a world record for a simultaneous display by playing 1004 opponents in the Chinese Chess New Century Festival in Tian Yuan.

Since 1988, he was the coach of Ms. Xie Jun, twice World Women’s Champion and since 2000, he is the national chief coach.
